Aside from us being car enthusiasts here, what does everyone enjoy when they are not enjoying their RS?

Me first:

I am a runner. I am usually in 10-15 races a year, all ranging in distance. I have 3 (maybe 4) races left for the year, then I take a few months off during the winter (although I am still running, just not outside).

I am a detailer. I don't do it for others much anymore, but I do enjoy keeping my fleet clean and shiny. And that keeps me plenty busy.

I am an artist... graphic artist specifically. I do a little freelance work on the side. I also have a store on Redbubble.com I design t-shirts for.

Aside from these things, I enjoy walking my greyhounds and hanging out with my best friend... my husband :)

As schedules, weather, timing permits, I like to travel:

Around the house, I mostly tend to our garden/yard:

...hot smoke me some BBQ when I can:

...walk the slough with my buddy:

...And tend my 58-gallon plant tank (more of a chore recently with a pile of new Congo tetras):

I recently got my bike refurbished after years of neglect and would like to start putting some recreational miles in. I like to hike a bit, but don't get out as often as I'd like. Some recreational photography, but really mostly lots of archival snaphots. I want to develop a regular writing practice, but sadly, I watch too much TV. It's the golden age of television.

Oh, and since getting a Kindle Paperwhite, I have been reading a TON more than I had been in recent years. WAY more. With some patience, you can pretty much get anything from the library (ie., for free), but you have to get the reading done in 3 weeks. That can be a (fun) challenge for some books. However, I've also discovered you can check out audio versions at the same time as an ebook, so 600 pages plus becomes very doable in a few weeks combining the two formats. For me, that has been quite a revelation.

Beautiful photos.

I enjoy mountain biking, my work colleagues and I will try to do a mountain bike retreat trip once a year in Montana.

My primary hobby is offshore power boats. There are poker runs throughout the country, and they are a blast to attend. Here's a quick vid of the old power in my boat.

Nice...
My husband and I went to Key West when I turned 40. Low and behold the World Championship Super Boats was going on the week we were there and we had front row seat to it... man that was a cool surprise!

Key West is a fun place. It's especially fun when the boat races are going on. They actually had them again this past weekend.

I have my last race of the season in a few weeks... been running outside in the cold for a while.
I'll be glad when it's over and I can head inside to the treadmill for the rest of winter.

I've been having a blast recently with my new hobby, playing the Irish bouzouki. The unique sound and the folk music vibes it brings have been a real joy. If you're looking for something different and fun to dive into, I'd highly recommend giving the bouzouki a shot. It's a great way to unwind and explore a new musical dimension.
