So on the subject of removing all of that plastic from the inside of the upper grille, has anyone tried anything other than a grinder. I'm thinking a flat, rotary rasp on a die grinder would work well without too much melting or clogging.

Hahaha i hate having a budget. Im still kinda pissed i pulled the trigger on a jline a month before this came out. Either way in a month or 2 ill order a crash bar see how ot works with my jline, and if i dont like it ill just order the dhm ic as well. Yet again dhm thank you for a bad ass product for our cars.

The J-Line is still the best budget IC to run with the exception a bit heavy. I sold mine to get the Cobb to save the weight as my car is so light in the rear I needed to take weight off the front, that was right before I was offered to get the first DHM which I went for and returned the Cobb unopened. Since Rod took his car to DHM it made sense to use it to finish up the details on the DHM and I am waiting for the turbo manifold so they can all ship a the same time, soon!

Run the J-Line, when ready for the DHM the J-Line is very easy to sell;)

I too have a special stash called my mad money.
Because if my wife knew I had it she would be mad.

Wonder if dhm can offer the bar with j line brackets on it?
I'm sure you could but that would be a waste of powder coat lol. Better bet is to make brackets to the rad support which is how the kit comes.

Also the money you save on a heavy inefficient jline is not worth it. I mean our Intercooler right now is only $475. That's $200less than a Cobb with 50%more frontal area and keeps temps 10-20deg cooler.

I'm wondering how those number will quantify with very high ambient temps and high boost pressures above 25psi.

Not to be mean to any intercoolr builder, but.... 20psi for a 1/4 mile is a cake walk in 70degree weather.

Show me how your intercooler does on a 90degree day with 25+ psi over a 5min span ( at which point your car will def be over heating by then unless your coolant system has been upgraded, lol ).

If only someone could test that.... Someone in a hot place.... Someone not afraid.... Someone running 25psi..... Someone that would run the call all out for 5min straight, lmao...

The smaller intercoolers would fail my test with gut wrenchingly high charge air temps. This cooler would be punished as well, and it would get warm, but it would be night and day after the first 2 trips through the gears.

If you are a serious modder that wants bigger power numbers and do it right this is simply a no brainer, period.

The price point is so incredible penny pinching makes no sense.

Think of how much money you spend on fast food, which is not actually worth eating, in just one month, use that towards the best IC you can find at any price....

Keep your stock parts, not worth anything anyway, ever need to go back to stock, trade in, sell, some arse wipe rear ends you, roll it in ditch, etc.....get another FiST, get a different car and sell this setup....
