DHM Race Crash Bar and Intercooler!

Honestly i dont blame consumers to be so untrustworthy the products that some of these companies is garbage and its a lot of products that are bought left and right! There is a company that alot of you guys buy chassis components from that mig weld chromoly which is a big NO NO! but they cant make enough to ship out lol. So when we say that we are certified this or that, the people that dont care are the ones that dont understand what it means to be educated in there fields.

There's truth to this. I was one who unfortunately got caught with junk parts. But I was disappointed that members didn't bring issues to light, some of which whom are your customers now. I'll be honest, because I got bit with a vendor and their products I am now more cautious with some vendors here even with DHM, because I haven't been a paying customer yet to experience your products and services and also because some of your customers are willing to accept junk from some vendors along with works of art that DHM is putting out and putting it all on their cars. Nothing wrong with that if they're happy with that, but I can't and won't do that. I don't completely trust reviews from some because of it. I just gotta be careful because I like my money and don't want to get bit again.

That is why there are customers i turn down. Our customers big or small represent us. Its up to the companies to take pride in them selves there products and there customers.

I see what you're saying but figured that something the DOT considers safety related was in a different category than springs or a clutch. Just trying to think like an insurance company that tries to wriggle out of anything.

It's good to hear that you don't see any downsides. Seems like a great product!

Forgive the noob question, I've read many pages on this thread but not all 45. What options are there for IC pipes? Would the cobb ones work? I'm about to plunk a good bit of money down on a full Cobb ProTune stage 3 (minus the catback) and for the price this can't be beat! What hoses then do you suggest?

EDIT: It looks like the mount points for hoses are stock. This might also be a stupid question, but the COBB kit consists of IC and hard pipes. How much of a restriction are the stock piping? I'm looking to sub out the IC kit for this one but I can't afford the hard pipes along with the 900+ shipping this kit costs.

There are a few threads on here where the mount has broken off on the ic pipe...something to consider if your going with Cobb until there is a fix

From the research and reading I have done, the FiST doesn't react one way or the other with better charge pipes unless you go bigger turbo. It makes sense to me too. I'm an old school CPU over-clocker and can tell you that fluid dynamics and air dynamics are not very different. Ask Formula 1. Just like exhaust systems, you can have too little or too much for your application.

Seriously though.. CPU water cooling guys have broken down heat exchangers waaaay better than any other market. Go watch the basics at least and pay close attention to flow volume and it's efficiency to remove heat in the particular unit and that unit's pro's cons.

You take off the old one and the cooler has new mounts in the exact same spot

Cut off??? Where did you hear that? Because they are bolted in.

No need to cut anything. The air bag sensors are unbolted from the oe crash bar and bolted to brackets on the intercooler. Not a great picture but you can see the brackets and the sensors.

Airbag Sensors mount on top the brackets welded to the IC.

The only things removed are the bottom slash shield for the Factory IC and factory side brackets for the IC.

Everything else mounts back nice. Very much worth the $$$

Hey Russ, it turns out that my crash bar was fine after my run in with a large piece of semi tire tread. I ended up getting the Mountune splitter, but it has an althread that mounts to the OEM crash bar. I'll need to mod the center mount to fit the FMH crashbar. Has anyone fitted a Mountune splitter with a DHM crash bar?
