Intercooler Update
If you have been following along with our intercooler thread, you know that our design process for the RS intercooler is well underway! We appreciate the feedback that we have received from the forum, so we wanted to reach out to you all about possible design of our intercooler. In the process we have reached a crossroads between bar and plate and tube and fin design. We calculated weight and cooling capacity based on the core options available and want to know how you think we should proceed.
Focus RS Intercooler
The bar and plate is a much more robust option capable of more cooling than the tube and fin, for those that are considering a high horsepower RS. The tube and fin option will not cool as efficiently as the bar and plate but weighs slightly less. For comparison the weight difference is equivalent to a small bag of flour, or say three chipotle burritos, for science of course.
